Open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 17.30. On Sunday from 10 am to 14.
From 1 April 2018
Open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 21. On Sunday from 10 am to 18.
Closed on holidays. During event evenings, the box office is open one hour before the event starts. On these occasions, only one counter will be dedicated to the advanced sale of tickets for other events.
OPENING TO THE PUBLIC FOR GUIDED TOUR
The San Carlo theatre is open to the public for guided tours (in Italian and English) from Monday to Saturday from 10.30 am to 12.30 am and from 14.30 pm to 16.30 pm. On Sunday from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. It is not possible to enter the back rooms of the theatre without a valid ticket or with guides not authorized by the San Carlo management.
ACCESSIBILITY AND TICKETS FOR DISABLED
Spectators in wheel chairs can access to the stalls through ramps and lifts (4 seats for each show reserved in the rows 21 and 22) and to stage boxes (levels II, III e IV). It is possible to enter the theatre from Piazza Trieste e Trento. The person unable to walk (100%) is entitled to a free ticket. Persons unable to walk (less than 100%) are entitled to a reduced-rate ticket.Their companion must pay the entire ticket.
VISIBILITY AND SEATS
Seats at the San Carlo are divided into stalls, stage boxes and balconies. In the stage boxes, according to order and position (central or lateral) there can be from 4 to 8 seats placed in different rows. The seats behind the stage boxes are provided with high stools with back. There is no standing room. San Carlo theatre, built in 1737, is the oldest opera house in Europe. For the particular architectural installation of the structure, and despite the recent works of modernization and restoration, there are still some limitation in the visibility from certain seats. CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
Children starting from 6 years old are allowed to enter the theatre and they need their own ticket. Infants are not allowed. For details on the prices for young people, please consult the informative cards.
CHANGES AND REFUNDS

Each costumer, under his own responsibility, has the right to attend the show to which his ticket is entitled. The organizer of the show and the manager of the theatre cannot been considered responsible for any accident. The use of cameras, recording equipment, mobile phones is strictly forbidden. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. In case of cancellation of the performance tickets will be refunded in the 7 days after the day of the performance directly by the Teatro San Carlo box office. Customer should always be equipped with tickets or entry card. Tickets and cards must be shown on request to the theatre control staff. Customer must take the assigned seat. Latecomers will not be admitted to the Theatre until a suitable break or interval. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. Tickets can be used only on the day indicated; please check accurately tickets when you buy them. The San Carlo Directorate has the right to make to the program all the necessary changes due to technical reasons or to causes of force majeure, including cast changes.
