For the 2023/24 Season, subscription packages have been designed with a discount applied to the sum of single tickets included in each formula. Prices change according to the type of show, series and seat order.

ALL THE COUPONS AND TITLE INCLUDED IN THE SUBSCRIPTION ARE MANDATORY.

Subscription cards must be kept carefully. In case of theft or loss it is possible to request a copy of your individual ticket from the Ticket Office at the cost of 1 Euro for each emission or reprint of your subscription tickets. Changing dates is only allowed for the full season subscription coupons (A, B, C/D, F, S/P; Carnets are excluded). Changing dates is only allowed free of charge ONCE and if requested at least 20 days before the event. Beyond this deadline every change to your coupon will cost 5 Euros. Subscribers can buy tickets for performances not included in their subscription packages at a dedicated reduced fee (- 15% / max 2 tickets).

SUBSCRIPTION RENEWALS

Prior subscriptions (A, B, C/D, F, S/P Packages) can be renewed beginning from 2023, May 15 in the following ways:

- via e-mail at biglietteria@teatrosancarlo.it (payment by bank transfer)
- at the Ticket Office during regular opening hours (Everyday, from 10 am to 6 pm)

Beginning from 2023 July 1 all non-confirmed subscriptions will be on sale.

NEW TIMETABLE FOR THE 2023/24 SEASON

Starting from Season 2023/24, performances will start according to this timetable:

- Opera and Dance Season: Operas and Ballets will start at h 20 (on weekdays) and at h 17 (on Sundays). Exceptions are indicated accordingly. Performances included in the B Subscription Packages will follow the same rules.

- Concerts Season: Concerts will start at h 19. Exceptions are indicated accordingly.

- Chamber Music Season: Chamber music concerts will start at h 18. Exceptions are indicated accordingly.

NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CARNETS

Same terms and booking conditions applied to prior subscriptions will be applied to new subscriptions and carnets beginning from 2023, May 15 until the first available included performance.

ACCESS AND SERVICES FOR THE AUDIENCE

DISABLED PEOPLE. Non-walking people with 100% disability have a right to free entrance. For all other disabilities the theater offers a reduced fee ticket. The disabled patron’s escort will pay full price. Patrons in wheelchair can access via special ramps and lifts to the stalls (4 reserved seats in rows 21 and 22) and to the boxes (orders II, III and IV) using Piazza Trieste e Trento entrance where they will find a specific tickets sale booth.

SEATING AND VISIBILITY.  Theater seats are comprised of stalls, boxes and the balconies. Inside each box, according to its order and position (central or lateral) there may be 4 to 8 seats distributed over several rows. Rear seats inside each box are furnished with high stools. We do not provide standing places. Teatro San Carlo was built in 1737 and it is the oldest opera house in Europe. Because of its peculiar architectural layout, despite its recent restoration and modernization, there are still seats that will not offer full visibility to the spectator. ADULTS OVER 65, CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE. Children (6 years or older) are admitted to evening performances and will need their own personal ticket. Infants are not allowed. Young people under 30 and adults over 65 with low income have access to special concessions. Contact our Ticket office or visit our website for details about discounts.

CHANGES AND REFUNDS. As a rule, once the ticket has been purchased it cannot be changed or refunded. Please contact our Ticket office during opening hours for all info and details regarding any questions about refund. With regards to subscription coupons changes are only allowed to full season subscriptions (A, B, C/D, F, S/P Package; Carnet and supplementary coupons are excluded). Warning: The Theater Direction reserves the right to modify the season’s program for technical or unforeseen reasons. Furthermore, it reserves the right to change the cast when necessary.

General rules and guidelines

The spectator exercises, on his own accord, the right to access the theater and the performance for which he has bought the ticket. The producers, organizers and theater managers will not be considered liable for any accident.  It is forbidden to take pictures or audio and video recording during the show. It is also forbidden to turn your cell phones on. Tickets cannot be changed or refunded. If the show is suspended tickets will be reimbursed within 7 days after the cancellation directly by the Ticket office of Teatro San Carlo. The spectator must carry the ticket or his card at all time to show upon request of theater staff. People must occupy their assigned seat. Once the show has started, it is forbidden to enter the theater hall. Latecomers are invited to wait in the foyer until the first interval before reaching their assigned seat. Purchased tickets cannot be reimbursed or changed. Tickets are valid exclusively for the printed date; therefore, the buyer must check them accurately at the time of purchase.
