"An almost physical constant struggle between men and God ..", this is how Riccardo Muti called Verdi's sacred masterpiece, the Messa da Requiem, dedicated to Alessandro Manzoni.

The San Carlo proposes it in a new way with a particular staging which enhances the word and its meanings.
