Children's Chorus
The History

The young choristers are introduced to the great operatic and symphonic-choral repertoire beginning with a basic music theory course, usually accompanied by the study of a musical instrument as well as solo and choral singing.
Since its foundation, the Chorus has regularly taken part in opera and concert productions at San Carlo, including La Bohème, La Dama di Picche, Socrate Immaginario and Tosca, under Nello Santi, Semkov, A. Fogliani.
Among the works specially written for the Children's Choir, we particularly note Al lupo al lupo!, a musical for children, loosely based on Aesop's fables, with libretto and music by Gaetano Panariello performed for the first time at San Carlo.
The Children's Chorus was founded in March 2004 and was entrusted to the direction of Stefania Rinaldi, conductor, choir director, and teacher at the "D.Cimarosa" Conservatoire in Avellino.
