The Dance Academy

The oldest Dance Academy in Italy

Lo Schiaccianoci

In 1973 Bianca Gallizia, director of the San Carlo Dance Academy for 23 years, decided to leave her position to her closest partner and collaborator, Milly Wanda Clerici.
The Dance Academy, after Clerici, was subsequently led by Tony Ferrante, Zarko Prebil and Giuliana Pensi.

From 1990 the Academy has been directed by Anna Razzi. Born and raised in Rome, Ms. Razzi graduated from the "Scuola D'Opera" in Rome and then began her career in both France and England.

She was prima ballerina and then ètoile at the Teatro alla Scala until 1985. She has been partners with Nureyev, Bortoluzzi, Schauffus, Petit and Dupont and has danced in theatres all over the world.
