At the Opera! At the Opera!
Presentation and dress rehearsal of the performances of Opera and Ballet Season Reserved to the students of Conservatories, junior high schools and of junior high schools of music.
The initiative will help to attract young people to the opera through the direct experience of the modalities of preparation and performance of several operas on the bill.
The activity is in the afternoon, during which students and their accompanying teachers will attend the presentation and rehearsal of events set up by the Teatro di San Carlo for the season of Opera and Ballet 2010 - 2011.
There will also be a meeting of the students with the professionals of the performance:the director, the artistic director or the choreographer.
The introductory meetings, open to a maximum of 10 schools with 20 students per school, include: guided listening of the opera analysis of the dramaturgy of the text in the light of literary sources stylistic analysis of musical language.
Concertiamoci Admission to the dress rehearsal of the performances of the Symphonic Season Reserved to the students of Conservatories, junior high schools and of junior high schools of music, allows to attend, in the morning, the dress rehearsal of the concert performances of the season.
The approach to the concerts will be supported by an introductory analysis and by the distribution of educational materials to promote a better comprehension of the execution of symphonic music masterpieces. To each concert will follow a further in-depth analysis on the aesthetic forms, figurative arts, the literary-historical period and the artistic expressions of the period under review.
This initiative allows youth to plunge into the heart of the performance modalities of the operas and to discern the care, the technique and to understand the historical music background.
Seminamusica
Project for music education
The project, reserved to the students of elementary schools, has as its objective the education to the listening to classical music through education experiences to the voice and choral music and approach to the musical instrument thanks to the valuable contribution of some professors of the Teatro di San Carlo, specifically selected for this delicate approach.
The project is designed to see how music affects the sensory and emotional sphere of children.
The lesson is structured with criteria of a continuous interaction between children and music, so it is not a passive listening, but a continuous analysis of what music can give in terms of feelings, emotions and new languages, sometimes by letting them imagine that they are the performers of what they are listening to.
Fuori... l'Opera!
Projections, at the accredited high schools, of the opera "Cavalleria Rusticana" with commentary and analysis by one of our musicologists. Schools must be in possession of technical audio and video equipment that will be required by us.
